D’wayne Wiggins, Tony Toni Tone Star, Passes Away at 64

Dwayne Wiggins, also known as D’wayne Wiggins, a founding member of the famous R&B group Tony Toni Tone, has passed away at the age of 64. His family shared this heartbreaking update on Friday, saying he lost his battle with bladder cancer.

Tony Toni Tone, sometimes written as Toni Tony Tone or Toni Toni Toni, was a big name in the 1990s R&B scene. Dwayne Wiggins started the group in Oakland, California, with his brother Raphael Saadiq and cousin Timothy Christian Riley. They gave us superhit songs like Feels Good, Anniversary, and It Never Rains (In Southern California). These tracks made fans dance and sing along, and the group became a legend in music.

D’wayne Wiggins was the heart of Tony Toni Tone. He played guitar, sang, and wrote songs that touched millions. His family said, “Dwayne’s life was special. His music and kindness reached people all over, especially in Oakland.” Even after the group split in 1996, he kept working in music, helping young stars like Beyoncé and Zendaya grow big.
